RMC Unveils Latest Editions of Best-Selling PMP® Exam Prep Self-Study Products

Fifth Edition Products by Rita Mulcahy Redesigned to Align with The PMBOK® Guide Third Edition and Updated PMP Exam

Minneapolis, MN (September 12th, 2005)—RMC Project Management, the innovator in project management training and development since 1991, has announced the worldwide release of its new PMP exam preparation materials by award-winning author Rita Mulcahy. RMC’s self-study products include the best-selling book PMP® Exam Prep, Hot Topics Flashcards and PM FASTrack® Exam Simulation Software.

In addition to alignment with changes and terminology in the Project Management Institute’s recently revamped PMBOK® Guide Third Edition, Rita’s new book includes additional study material, games, exercises, and common pitfalls and mistakes, totaling over 100 pages of never-before published material. The book also includes enough test questions for nearly two full PMP exams.

“Realistically, Rita began creating this book the day the last one was released,” stated Eric Rudolf, Director of Marketing for RMC. “This book goes well beyond a few wording changes and a new cover. We spent over three years researching why people struggle with the exam—and used this knowledge to create what we believe is the single most valuable PMP exam preparation resource available.”

RMC also collected thousands of suggestions for improvement from PM instructors, former students and users of its self-study products, which resulted in significant changes that included expansion of the Time Management chapter and the addition of a completely new chapter on Project Management Processes. In response to feedback from users of its book, RMC also modified the navigation to cater to both knowledge area and process group learners.

RMC’s exam simulation software, PM FASTrack®, has also undergone significant changes. In addition to a complete facelift, the application was written in a new development language that provides more flexibility and a number of new features; including automatic question bank updates for users with Internet connectivity, new sorting capabilities, upgraded exam reporting and archiving, more “wordy” questions, and cross-references to the book PMP Exam Prep for additional study help.
