Software Stops During "Checking for Registration" BEFORE Entering Serial Number
Some companies have secure environments that prevent the registration or installation of software. The first thing to be aware of is that you need to have admin privileges for your machine to install and register the software. If you are unsure if you have these rights, please click here.
Also, the following steps will help ensure a smooth install:
- Turn off anti-spyware.
- Turn off anti-virus software
- Turn off firewall.
- Turn off any other internal/company security software that might interfere with installation/registration.
- Make sure that your Operating System is Windows 2000 or Windows XP
- If you are using a Japanese version Windows, click here
** Also check compatibility settings on the shortcut to make sure they are disabled and not set to win98 or something else.
- To do this, right click on the PM FASTrack icon and choose "Properties". Then choose the "Compatibility" tab.
- Make sure that the Compatibility Mode is disabled. If you don't want it disabled, at least make sure it is set to Windows 2000.
If it is still not working, the installation attempts to create a special file in your installation folder. This file contains information that helps RMC diagnose your particular problem. Please locate the "RMCPROJ.ckn" file in your installation folder (default location is C:\Program Files\PM FASTrack®). Open the file (using MS WordPad) and copy the contents of the file in an e-mail message to pmfastrack@rmcproject.com. Be sure to also include your contact information, license serial number and where you purchased the software.
